A big thanks

Thank you to everyone who showed up and/or donated to the Walk MS this year. We had a good size team again on Saturday, and the sun even came out for a little while. I'll get pics up soon, I just wanted to say thanks first. And, as far as I know, Team Hope was the #1 fundraising team for 2009!!!

On the second day

Note to self: Do not start diet the same week that you are receiving steroid infusions for an MS flare. It makes it impossible to stick to under 1250 calories a day. And the flare makes it impossible to exercise when you keep falling down.

Not a great combo, but I'm trying to stick to the plan as best as I can.

On the first day

Today, I begin "Operation: Skinny Bitch". Basically, I need to lose weight and get back into shape. I tried to start running again, but Dr. says no more running for this girl because of my hip...grrr! Anyway, I'm not disclosing my current weight, but it's more than I want it to be and since I'm no longer breastfeeding I need to stop eating like I'm still pregnant :)

I originally called it "Operation: Baby Fat" but that sounded too negative. Other thoughts were "Operation: Hot Mama" or "Operation: MILF" but I think I'm sticking with Skinny Bitch.

Wish me luck! Anyone have any suggestions on non-running cardio activities?

Who's your daddy?

Todd sent me this pic the other day while I was at work. I know some people say Mason looks like me...but come on...I think the only people who think that are people who haven't seen his daddy!

Toot Toot

That would be the grammar police. Not that I am an expert, but there are some things that just bug the heck out of me. Examples are misuse of there/their/they're or your/you're. I find it especially irksome (and also hilarious) when these violations are printed, and better yet, publicly distributed. OK, here's the deal, I was driving to work today and was behind someone with one of those annoying honor roll stickers on their car...."My child is a honor student at...." Luckily, for ASD and for myself, this was not a local school so I don't have to worry about sending my child to a school that should probably have their honor students doing grammar checks for them!

That's all.

P.S. For all you MOA residents.............get out and VOTE TODAY!!!! (I would prefer you vote for Eric Croft, but it is a free country after all)
