With the crazy news hitting the world right now that Osama Bin Laden has been killed, my mind naturally wanders to 9/11/01. This year will be 10 years since that awful day, and I hope this news today can bring some peace to the families who lost loved ones that day.
On a personal note, I have a hard time "celebrating" the death of anyone, even someone as heinous as Bin Laden, but I can absolutely understand why this is something that is being celebrated. It does seem crazy to me to think of the thousands of lives that were lost in the last 10 years in exchange for this one life. I guess I just hope it was all worth it.
